You don't have to go to a museum to enjoy a piece of sports heaven. You can create something really cool with all that memorabilia right in your home. One St. Charles County homeowner turned an impressive sports collection into a 'Home Hall Of Fame Museum."
It's a piece of history and each ball in the home museum had and a memory behind it. Heidi Sowatsy says you too can create the ultimate sports museum right in your own home. Take in a good fight, a baseball game all while you are surrounded by your friends and family. "I think the biggest thing is sharing it, there's no point of collecting things and leaving them in a box," said Sowatsky.
The St. Charles County home includes autographed baseballs from Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, Lou Brock and many other jaw dropping sports collectibles. It took more than 40 years for the family to collect the memorabilia linking certain moments and times . The home has a Cooperstown's feel.
The collection also crosses sports decades including autographed boxing gloves from Muhammad Ali, items from hockey greats like Brett Hull, autographed, basketball legends and football helmets featuring the top quarterbacks and running backs of all times. Also, in the home you will find almost every single bobble head given out at Busch Stadium The hundreds of items all have a story and some significance.
