St. Charles Jimmy John's Selling Sandwiches For $1 This Saturday

Jimmy John’s will be selling sandwiches for just a buck at its St. Charles location for Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday.

Sandwiches will cost $1.00 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 2 at the Jimmy John’s located at 3754 Elm Street

Limit one per person and good for in-store purchase only.

Home Depot to Hire 975 Seasonal Associates in St. Louis Area

Home Depot is now accepting applications for seasonal positions in the St. Louis market. Available positions vary by store.

Seasonal associates will be assigned responsibilities based on their previous retail or home improvement experience and based on the needs of individual stores.

About half of The Home Depot’s seasonal hires transitioned into regular positions with the company last year.

Hendricks BBQ Seeks Approval to Add Distillery

The owners of Hendricks BBQ are hoping to open the Moonshine Blues Bar in 2013 complete with St. Charles-brewed moonshine. 

Owners Gurpreet Padda and Ami Hendricks-Grimes have applied to the city to open a distillery in the restaurant, located at 1200 South Main Street.

Missouri Mercantile Opens Second Shop on Main Street

Bill Olwig spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving setting up a new Missouri Mercantile shop on Main Street.

He hoped to have everything ready for the crowds expected Friday morning. He's used to big crowds at the mall on Black Friday, but said he's heard it's even busier on Main Street.

Hostess Store in St. Charles Closes

The Twinkies, Zingers and Wonderbread flew off the shelves of the Wonder/Hostess Bakery Thrift shop in St. Charles over the weekend, as fans stocked up on the sweet treats in the wake of the labor dispute between Hostess Brands and its union

By Monday morning, all that was left was a stack of 39 Hostess holiday fruit cakes, a few bags of old fashioned cream drops and several bottles of seafood cocktail sauce, all 50 percent off.

Hendricks BBQ Brings Live Music, Moonshine and Comfort Food To St. Charles

Hendricks BBQ was set to open on South Main Street in St. Charles in May 2011 when a 16-inch water main burst and flooded the building—ironically, the former St. Charles Waterworks building.

Owners Ami Hendricks-Grimes and Gurpreet Padda began all over again—cleaning, restoring and refurnishing the 600-seat restaurant and bar.

Hannegan is making a difference by sharing what he loves about his community. The magazine is committed to spotlighting ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Tom's  passion to publish a positive community based St. Charles magazine has extended to events like St. Charles Fashion Week and Beyond the Sest in Business Leaders Awards. The name  of the magazine was inspired by the cobblestone streets of historic Main Street St. Charles .

 The stories highlight some of the biggest names in businessm, sports and entertainment .Also featuring just ordinary people doing amazing things. "We give an opportunity not only to celebrities but to the local people. I think stories we do on the local people are just as good as the famous people, " said Hannegan.
