Church Buys Former St. Charles Police Station on West Clay

The former city police station on West Clay will soon have a second life as a church. 

Matthias' Lot, a Christian church that currently meets in downtown St. Charles, purchased the 20,000 square foot property located at 2645 West Clay in mid June for $600,000.

Seeds of Hope Grief Support Remembrance Program

This summer, Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery is hosting the 3rd Annual Seeds of Hope Remembrance Program.  This complimentary program will include education and information on coping after the loss of a loved one as well as a beautiful memorial balloon release service. 

The Seeds of Hope Remembrance Program will take place Saturday, June 9 at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the Baue Cave Springs location; 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301. 

When making reservations for the program, participants have the opportunity to register the name of a loved one to have read during the ceremony.  Participants will also have the opportunity to release a biodegradable balloon with a message written on a seed card in honor of their loved one.

Crisis Nursery Spreading The Word About Child Abuse

Every hour one child in Missouri is abused or neglected. Recently, we have seen many devastating stories of child abuse and even death. The Crisis Nursery's  goal is to prevent children from being abused. The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is a prevention program that works and they need your help to spread the word.  Almost everyday at least three children in the St. Louis area are removed from homes where they are being abused.

The Salvation Army Is Looking For Volunteer Musicians

This the season for Red Kettles, the Salvation Army will be rolling out the Red Kettles soon and will need volunteer musicians to bring in the Holiday Season for the Tree Of Lights Campaign.  Volunteer musicians are needed to play at the kettles and other events during November and December. St. Charles First Assembly Of God Hosts Free VBS

PandaMania comes to St. Peters, MO., as St. Charles First Assembly of God opens its doors to area children for a FREE Vacation Bible School. Kids ages 4 to 12 (3-year-olds are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian) will learn about self-worth and seeing themselves through God’s eyes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 25 through Thursday, July 28. There is no pre-registration required. Those interested in attending may register at the door.

PandaMania will feature Bible lessons, skits, songs, crafts, games and more. There will be great attendance prizes and the child who brings the most visitors during the week will be awarded the top prize – an iPod touch.

“With today’s economy, we feel it is important to offer Vacation Bible School completely free of charge,” commented Children’s Pastor Mark Shepherd.
