St. Peters To Host Annual Gateway Games

ST. PETERS, MO. (KTVI) – The Disabled Athletes Sports Association will be hosting its annual Gateway Game Competition in St. Peters this weekend.  The competition will be held on May 18th and 19th at the St. Peters Rec Plex and St. Charles West High School.

Competitions will be held in field & track, swimming and archery.

Athletes from across the Midwest will be competing to qualify for The National Junior Disability Championships, to be later this summer.

St. Peters Offering New Programs And Classes At Rec-Plex

ST. PETERS, MO. (KTVI) – The City of St. Peters is offering new summer programs and fitness classes for the summer.  The programs cover the entire family, from toddlers to adults; Featuring men’s’ basketball league, softball leagues, t-ball, ice skating, hockey, swimming, aqua aerobics and group fitness classes.

Jaycee Park's Discovery Playground Opening Set for Late September

The all-inclusive Discovery Playground at Jaycee Park is nearing completion and a grand opening has been tentatively set for Sept. 21. 

The date is tentative because it's unclear how the remnants of Hurricane Isaac might impact construction.

Hannegan is making a difference by sharing what he loves about his community. The magazine is committed to spotlighting ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Tom's  passion to publish a positive community based St. Charles magazine has extended to events like St. Charles Fashion Week and Beyond the Sest in Business Leaders Awards. The name  of the magazine was inspired by the cobblestone streets of historic Main Street St. Charles .

 The stories highlight some of the biggest names in businessm, sports and entertainment .Also featuring just ordinary people doing amazing things. "We give an opportunity not only to celebrities but to the local people. I think stories we do on the local people are just as good as the famous people, " said Hannegan.

Ramkishore and Connie Mangra can get over the loss of their checkbook, cash, Nintendo games, and Lego toys that were stolen from their car while they stopped in St. Charles County on the way home to Iowa last week. 

But they'd really like to have the photo sim cards returned.

Community members gathered on Friday for the grand opening of the new section of the Boschert Greenway trail which runs between New Town and Frenchtown. 

The entire route now provides riders and runners with 10 miles of trail throughout the area, said Mayor Sally Faith.
