Dine At T.G.I.Friday's In St. Charles And Support Community Living, Inc.

T.G.I.Friday's in St. Charles is teaming up with local residents to support a good cause this May. 

Eat at the restaurant located at 2000 South First Capitol Dr. in St. Charles on May 30, and a portion of dine-in or carry-out sales will benefit Community Living's Residential Services. The fundraiser runs from 11 a.m. until close.

 ST. CHARLES ( MO)- A St. Charles man is making a difference by sharing what he loves in his community. Tom Hannegan is the owner  and publisher of Streetscape Magazine.

Hannegan is making a difference by sharing what he loves about his community. The magazine is committed to spotlighting ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Tom's  passion to publish a positive community based St. Charles magazine has extended to events like St. Charles Fashion Week and Beyond the Sest in Business Leaders Awards. The name  of the magazine was inspired by the cobblestone streets of historic Main Street St. Charles .

 The stories highlight some of the biggest names in businessm, sports and entertainment .Also featuring just ordinary people doing amazing things. "We give an opportunity not only to celebrities but to the local people. I think stories we do on the local people are just as good as the famous people, " said Hannegan.

Westlake Ace Hardware on Zumbehl Road in St. Charles will close July 2. 

George Smith, CEO of Westlake Hardware, said in a press release that the store did not peform well enough financially to justify entering a new long-term lease agreement.

St. Charles City Council Approves TIF for Lindenwood Town Center Project

St. Charles City Council approved a $9.6 million tax increment financing package for a 31.5 acre development anchored by a Schnucks across from Lindenwood University. 

The development, which is a joint project between Desco and Lindenwood University, will include several retail sites, restaurants, a hotel and room for relocation of the United States Post Office.

Saturday morning marked the opening of the St. Charles Farmers' Market off of Riverside Drive. 

The market, which is open from 6 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through October, is run by St. Charles Lions Club.
