St. Peters Announces Memorial Day Hours

ST. PETERS, MO. (KTVI) - St. Peters City Hall and Cultural Arts Centre will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2012. The City’s Earth Centre will also be closed.

The St. Peters Rec-Plex ice rink and pools will be open to the general public from 1:00 pm to 5:00  pm. The registration desk will be closed.


Recycle City, including aluminum can buy-back and trash acceptance, will be closed May 27. The Recycle City Drop-Off area will remain open.

For the week of May 27, solid waste customers on the Monday/Thursday schedule will have their trash collected on Tuesday/Friday. Customers on the Tuesday/Friday schedule will have their trash collected on Wednesday/Saturday. Wednesday yard waste collection will be on Thursday.

St. Peters Animal Control Officers can be reached on May 27 for emergency calls only by calling St. Peters Police Dispatch at 636.278.2222.

St. Peters To Host Annual Gateway Games

ST. PETERS, MO. (KTVI) – The Disabled Athletes Sports Association will be hosting its annual Gateway Game Competition in St. Peters this weekend.  The competition will be held on May 18th and 19th at the St. Peters Rec Plex and St. Charles West High School.

Competitions will be held in field & track, swimming and archery.

Athletes from across the Midwest will be competing to qualify for The National Junior Disability Championships, to be later this summer.

St. Peters Offering New Programs And Classes At Rec-Plex

ST. PETERS, MO. (KTVI) – The City of St. Peters is offering new summer programs and fitness classes for the summer.  The programs cover the entire family, from toddlers to adults; Featuring men’s’ basketball league, softball leagues, t-ball, ice skating, hockey, swimming, aqua aerobics and group fitness classes.

Pokémon Gamers to Compete in St. Charles This Weekend

Pokémon Gamers to Compete in St. Charles This Weekend

Pokémon fans and card game players will head to the St. Charles Convention Center this weekend for the annual Pokémon Winter Regional Championships. 

Competitors will play for a chance to go to the U.S. National Championships, held in Indianapolis, IN July 5-7. World Championships will be held in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

For two years, visitors to downtown St. Charles could take a spin on an ice skating rink in Frontier Park run by the city during the winter months. 

The city shut down the rink after the 2010 season due to cost concerns, but some members of the community are hoping to see it return.

Monday Night Football Inaugural Fundraiser hosted by NFLPA St. Louis Chapter

ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI – The newly reorganized National Football Players Association Former Players St. Louis Chapter (NFLPA) will be hosting their inaugural Monday Night Football Fundraiser on Monday September 17, 2012 beginning at 7:30p.m. at Ameristar Casino’s -  Bottleneck Blues Bar.  Admission is $20 at the door and includes: food, autographs, free giveaways and interaction with current and former players.  Proceeds from seasonal events will benefit young men and women in the St. Louis metropolitan community through academia, athletics and the arts.

“The goal of our foundation is to promote economic empowerment and health awareness through educational offerings funded by independent events”, said NFLPA St. Louis Chapter President and Former Indianapolis Colt, Bernard Whittington.  “We want fans to come experience Monday Night Football with guys that played the game!”
